Yep, that's foil wrapped around the camera and held down with 7 bits of sticky tape.

Well, the adapter on eBay turned out to be incorrect for a Minolta mount. The guy was nice enough to refund the money but I'm still without an adapter. So I took matters into my own hands. Results to come!
